South Bend/Mishawaka Hotel-Motel Tax Grant - 2012
The South Bend/Mishawaka Convention & Visitors Bureau (SBMCVB), with the assistance of the St. Joseph County Hotel‐Motel Tax Board has set aside up to $75,000 in funding for the marketing and hosting of events exhibiting positive tourism potential to the St. Joseph County area. These funds are to assist qualified organizations with the promotion of tourism activities striving to directly increase hotel/motel occupancy and create positive image building publicity for St. Joseph County. Applicants must be organizations seeking to produce and promote a well‐defined tourism‐oriented festival or event.

Economic Impact of the South Bend/Mishawaka Tourism and Travel Industry - 2006 and 2009
The tourism and travel industry contributed over $635.1 million to St. Joseph County's economy in 2009.
