Recombination: Painting and Sculpture by Art Martin and Lee Brown

In Recombination, Art Martin and Lee Brown forge a marriage of two distinct styles and mediums. Found items, both depicted and physical, are merged with others in landscape and sculptural forms, adding their own inherent and narrative characteristics that are enhanced or altered in their new context. The familiar becomes new, or experienced in an unfamiliar way. The collaborative Cabinet Landscapes contain everyday objects, but in new scale and in context with other still life elements, and invite a closer examination of things normally recognized and quickly discounted.

The gallery is open Wednesday - Sunday, 12:00-5:00pm. They are closed Monday, Tuesday and major holidays
