We're proud to be the hometown of so many exceptional universities and colleges. It all started in 1842, with the opening of the legendary University of Notre Dame. Since then, our universities and colleges have consistently given us a lot to be proud of.

One has achieved over twenty National Championships since 1990. One is home to the most widely-known university landmarks in the world. One is one of the nation's most affordable four-year private schools. One performs over 100 theatre and musical productions a year. And one ranks among the top 100 Best National Liberal Arts Colleges in the U.S. News & World Report 2011 College Guide.
