Where legends are made

View Our Success Stories

Located just minutes from downtown South Bend is the grandeur of the University of Notre Dame. Notre Dame opened in 1842, as an all-male university, and in 1972 women were first admitted to undergraduate studies. Today, women account for 47 percent of all enrollment at the University of Notre Dame. Admission remains very selective, with 71 percent of incoming freshmen finishing in the top five percent of their high school graduating class.

The University is currently organized into five colleges: the College of Arts and Letters, the College of Science, the College of Engineering, the School of Architecture and the Mendoza College of Business. Each of the schools has consistently ranked among the top schools in the country. The University of Notre Dame's Mendoza College of Business ranked No. 1 for the second year in a row in Bloomberg Businessweek's sixth annual survey of "The Best Undergraduate Business Schools". In 2009, Notre Dame ranked number 18 overall among all national universities and first among Catholic universities.
