When you're leaving I-80 to take a break, one of your top priorities is probably grabbing a bite to eat. Fortunately, there are dozens of restaurants within a mile or two of Exit 77.
Fast food and grab-and-go options are plentiful. You'll find Starbucks, Chipotle, Wendy's, Taco Bell, Dunkin' and several other recognizable options. But if you're looking to grab a bite to eat at a local restaurant near your hotel, here are eight options to consider.
American Pancake House
Classic diner option open for breakfast and lunch. If the parking lot on the weekends is any indication, it's certainly a local favorite. This is a great spot to fuel up on a solid meal and some coffee before getting back on the road.
Bistro 933
Situated inside the Hilton Garden Inn, Bistro 933 is less than a quarter-mile from the exit. And it's a bit of a hidden gem; Bistro 933 is probably one of the area's best restaurants, period. If you're looking for a top-notch experience, this is your place.
Bruno's Pizza - Roseland
Bruno's Pizza is a popular local franchise with locations spread across the area. This store provides carry-out and delivery (through a third-party service), so definitely consider it if you want a great pizza to take back to the hotel.
Cheers Pub
This is your late night spot with pizza, burgers and more. There is often live entertainment and karaoke if you want to hang out late.
Fat Cap Smoked Meats
Is this the best barbecue place The Bend has to offer? We don't pick favorites — but it is pretty darn good! Fat Cap Smoked Meats has all the barbecue classics: pulled pork, brisket, rib tips and more, plus the sides to boot.
Ho Ping House
One of The Bend's favorite Chinese restaurants without a doubt, Ho Ping House has everything on the menu you would expect. It's a great place for a sit-down meal or just as easy to carry out back to the hotel.
T. Allen's King Gyros
At first glance, you might think this drive-thru option is another chain. Think again! Although there are multiple locations in the area, it's locally owned. The menu encompasses a wide variety of items but T. Allen's is (obviously) known for its gyros.
Weiss' Gasthaus
Weiss' Gasthaus is known for its German food with a bit of American flair. You'll find everything from potato pancakes and pretzels on the menu to other German classics like bratwurst and spaetzle.
