Downtown South Bend hosts "First Fridays" from 5-9 p.m. on the first Friday of each month all year. Residents and visitors alike fill the streets for live music, movies and other entertainment. It's a great time to explore downtown, whether it's trying out a new restaurant or popping into a shop. These are the themes for the rest of the year.

Then & Now: Downtown Architectural Walking Tour
Architectural walking tours of downtown South Bend take place every First Friday from May through October. The guided, 90-minute tour showcases many of South Bend's landmark buildings, including their history. Cost is $5 (cash only). Reservations are required and can be made online or by calling 574-282-1110.
