As winter begins to drift away, we're heading into the warmer months.

March will usher in spring. That means it's time to get outside, explore and maybe even celebrate one of our favorite holidays. Here are six ideas for things to do in The Bend this March.

#OnlyinTheBend Pizza Pass

Do you like pizza? Free prizes? Then it's past time you sign up for the #OnlyinTheBend Pizza Pass. Anyone that signs up and checks in at pizza places around The Bend is entered into a prize giveaway. All check-ins must happen by March 31 to be eligible for the first prize!

St. Patrick's Day Parade

Scheduled for March 12, the St. Patrick's Day parade in downtown South Bend is a fun way to celebrate the holiday. After the parade ends, those lining the streets head to the East Race Waterway for the river to be turned green.

Winter Days at Potawatomi Zoo

With its 2022 season opening right around the corner, Potawatomi Zoo will host two more Winter Days this month. Head to Indiana's first zoo on March 5 and March 20 to catch up with your favorite animals and for a sneak peek at the newest residents: giraffes.

Experience Broadway in The Bend

Theater lovers might want to spend March in downtown South Bend with two exciting shows planned for the Morris Performing Arts Center: "Hairspray" from March 11-13 and the legendary "Blue Man Group" on March 25-26.

Sugar Camp Days

One of our favorite annual traditions returns March 19-20 to Bendix Woods County Park as we celebrate the coming of spring by making maple syrup. Visitors can tour the Sugar Bush, learn more about the syrup-making process and explore the park with other family friendly activities.

Head Out for a Hike

As The Bend thaws out from winter, everyone wants to head outside. Late winter or the early days of spring are a great time to visit some of our best places for a hike
