Overview
The Mishawaka Historical Museum offers a unique glimpse into the area’s past and teaches residents and visitors to the community about Mishawaka’s rich history, dating back to 1832. Located in the heart of historic downtown, the museum opened in 2023. It includes 1,500 sq. ft. of exhibits in the following areas: Businesses and Industries, Historic Landmarks, Military Heritage, Famous Mishawakans, Churches and Faith, and Schools. A working model train set, dozens of model train cars, and artifacts from Mishawaka’s history as a railroad town are also on display. Rotating exhibits feature other topics from the Princess City’s past.
