PACKED WEEKEND OF YOUTH SPORTS PROJECTED TO PRODUCE LARGE ECONOMIC IMPACT FOR ST. JOSEPH COUNTY
What: This weekend South Bend Mishawaka is set to host a major lineup of youth sports,
bringing in an estimated economic impact of over $2 million across all four events.
• Over 80 teams are registered for Pastime The Great Lakes Select Showcase Baseball
Tournament that will take place at Notre Dame and Bethel University July 17-20.
• ETS Sports BPA World Series opening ceremonies take place at Four Winds Field on
July 17, and the baseball tournament will take place at Newton Park and other fields
around town.
• The IN District 14 Little League State Tournament will take place at Chet Waggoner
Little League July 17-22 with 14 teams participating. The winner advances to Central
Region Tournament for an opportunity to advance to the Little League World Series
in Williamsport, PA.
• We welcome back Rip the Wave Lacrosse to Indiana Invader’s Sports Complex and
expect 80 teams from six states (IN, IL, MI, MN, MO, WI) to join us July 19-20.
