The Link Trail
The Link, which opened in late October 2024, connects the heart of Downtown South Bend to the University of Notre Dame. This dedicated running, walking and biking trail was designed to help make the short 1.5-mile distance between campus and downtown more enjoyable.
Connecting SB to ND
Starting LaSalle Avenue and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, the trail takes pedestrians and bicyclists east on LaSalle Avenue through the East Bank Village, north on Hill Street, then northeast on South Bend Avenue to join Notre Dame Avenue. The trail will culminate at the intersection of Angela Boulevard and Notre Dame Avenue. From there, users can easily access the University of Notre Dame campus or join the multi-use path along Angela Boulevard.
