Getting Downtown Just Got Easier

Hop on the bus!

Looking for an easy way to get off campus and explore more of The Bend? On select Fridays and Saturdays this fall, Notre Dame faculty, staff, graduate students and their families can ride a free shuttle from campus to downtown South Bend.

Hop on at the Notre Dame Ave. Circle and head downtown for dinner, drinks, shopping, events, attractions and more, with convenient return service to campus. Shuttles run every 30 minutes, so you can spend your time exploring instead of worrying about parking or getting around.

The FREE service is part of a pilot program designed to better connect the Notre Dame community with South Bend and the surrounding area.

Complete the required rider waiver before your first trip.

Present your valid Notre Dame ID to the driver when boarding.

SELECT FRIDAYS 5 PM TO 9 PM

Last bus departs campus at 8:30 pm and returns at 9 pm

FAQ

Notre Dame staff, faculty, graduate students, postdocs, and their families are eligible to ride at this time. In order to ride, a completed waiver form is required by the University of Notre Dame, and a valid Notre Dame ID must be presented to the shuttle operator.

Approximately every 30 minutes during scheduled hours.

The shuttle will not operate in the snow.

No open containers of alcohol shall be permitted on the shuttle. The possession, use, or distribution of illegal substances is prohibited. Individuals who appear visibly impaired may be denied service at the discretion of the shuttle operator.
