Indiana University South Bend is a satellite campus for Indiana University. IUSB is a NAIA Division II school that is a member of the Chicagoland Conference (CCAC). IUSB offers Men's and Women's Basketball, Men's and Women's Cross Country, Men's and Women's Golf, Women's Soccer, Baseball, Softball, Men's and Women's Tennis and Volleyball.
Indiana University South Bend's lighted softball field was inaugurated on Sep. 16, 2017 in front of a large crowd on beautiful day. South Bend business and civic leader Richard "Dick" Pfeil was recognized for his gift that funded improvements to the softball facility at Veterans Memorial Park. In recognition of the improvements to the park, the City of South Bend named the softball venue Pfeil Field. IU South Bend will lease the field from the South Bend Board of Venues, Parks and Arts at no cost. The field also includes bleacher seating for more than 250 with home and visiting dugouts.

The Student Activities Center (SAC) is a 100,000 square foot facility that offers a state-of-the-art fitness center; three-lane running track; five court areas; three racquetball courts; group fitness room; full-service locker rooms; popular game area, featuring billiards and table tennis; a student lounge; and the Courtside Café. There are also well-equipped meeting rooms; office areas for athletics, recreation, the SAC administration, student life, the Student Government Association, Titan Productions, and student publications; and space for clubs and organizations.
