Directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, collectively known as Daniels, this whatzit is an aggressive mix of many, many film tropes that came together to darn near sweep its year's Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Director(s), and three out of four acting Oscars. At the core of the film is an exhausted Chinese-American woman (Michelle Yeoh) who can't seem to finish her taxes or co-exist with her daughter on almost any universal plane.
