Its characters come together like figures in a Nativity scene, weaving stories, symbols, and words between folk tradition and experimental exploration. Dante, a silent witness, passes through it alongside Ugolino and Pontormo, Glenn Gould and Giordano Bruno. A poor family searches for shelter while awaiting five wandering Magi bearing gifts of music, theatre, painting, poetry—and nothingness. Will the Divine Comet lead them forth to see the stars again? This film is being screened as part of the Raclin Murphy Museum of Art’s temporary exhibition Mimmo Paladino: Present into Past. The screening will be followed by a conversation with Joseph Becherer, exhibition curator and director of the Raclin Murphy Museum of Art, and Theodore J.
