Insights in History: The Long Exposure: Photography History and a Community Camera Store

Jon Gilchrist and Melaney Miller, owners of Gene’s Camera in South Bend, will present a lecture on the history of photography and the history of the beloved local camera store. Jon Gilchrist will share interesting facts, information, and experiences about the evolution of photography and how cameras and film evolved, as well as present day use of antique cameras. Melaney Miller will explain the history of Gene’s Camera and share how they became its newest owners in 2025.
