Monika Herzig Acoustic Project

Composer and pianist Monika Herzig leads her quartet featuring guitarist Peter Kienle in a program centered on original compositions from her latest release, Transparent (2026), alongside selections from her extensive catalog of original recordings spanning more than two decades. Her music blends contemporary jazz with lyrical composition, inventive improvisation, and diverse musical influences, creating a distinctive artistic voice that continues to evolve through each recording project. Featuring original works by Herzig and selected compositions by guitarist Peter Kienle, the ensemble balances thoughtfully crafted compositions with dynamic ensemble interaction and spontaneous improvisation.
