Pigskins and Ponytails at The History Museum
Overview
The immersive storytelling experience “Pigskins and Ponytails” is coming to The History Museum! Narrated by Mark Bradford, the program is based on his book "Pigskins and Ponytails: A Year on the Sidelines of a Women’s "Professional" Football Team". Both the book and the presentation chronicle the story of the 2002 South Bend Golden Hawks, part of the National Women’s Football League. First-hand reflections from players and coaches from the Golden Hawks, later renamed the Indiana Thunder, will be featured.
Following the program, Bradford will be available to sign copies of his books and light refreshments will be served. Attendees are invited to visit The History Museum’s exhibit Pigskins and Ponytails, which showcases artifacts from the South Bend Golden Hawks such as team uniforms, equipment, photographs, and more.
This event is free to attend. Reservations are strongly recommended and can be made by contacting The Acting Ensemble at (574) 217-8873 or at https://historymuseumsb.app.neoncrm.com/.../eventRegistra...
