When the house lights dim, a man in a chair settles in with his favorite record—the cast album of a fictional 1928 musical. But this isn’t just a listening session. As the needle drops, the recording springs to life and The Drowsy Chaperone bursts onto the stage in a whirlwind of music, mayhem, and showbiz chaos.

Add in a bride and groom with pre-wedding jitters, a hilariously clueless best man, a frantic producer, a ditzy hostess, two gangsters disguised as pastry chefs, a wannabe Latin lover, and one delightfully tipsy chaperone, and you’ve got all the ingredients for a toe-tapping, laugh-out-loud evening of pure musical comedy.
