Nothing draws people outside like the arrival of patio season. Here are 10 of the outdoor dining spots locals love, plus more listed farther down. And don't forget, dogs are more than welcome at most of the places. When in doubt, it's best to call ahead in advance to find out.

Brothers Bar + Grill 

Across from the University of Notre Dame, Brothers is a popular patio when the weather is on point. It's a great place to meet up before a game or unwind on a sunny afternoon.

Bar Louie 

This massive outdoor seating area is located on the third floor, making it one of the few rooftop experiences in the area. 

Café Navarre 

Outdoor dining at Café Navarre puts your table in the heart of downtown South Bend. It's a great place to grab a drink if you're on the go or settle in for a delightful meal alongside a crafted cocktail. 

Chicory Café

Chicory Café's downtown Mishawaka location includes a large, welcoming patio with a colorful mural. It's a great launching point if you want to stroll the Mishawaka Riverwalk or other nearby restaurants. 

Howard Park Public House 

There are swing seats, a fire pit, games and more just steps from the rest of beautiful Howard Park. The ice trail is nearby as is the playground. 

Ironhand Wine Bar 

Another place that takes full advantage of its proximity to the St. Joseph River. The Bend's only winery also offers up delicious shareable dishes. 

The Lauber Kitchen + Bar 

The patio includes plenty of space, a pergola, umbrellas and ample good vibes. You're likely to run into a pup or two — it's a favorite of dog owners. 

South Bend Brew Werks

Brew Werks is a laid back spot for local craft beer within walking distance of Four Winds Field if you're on the way to a South Bend Cubs game. 

Wind Family Fireside Terrace

Situated right in the middle of Notre Dame's campus, this is the patio seating for Rohr's inside the Morris Inn. It is just steps away from the Golden Dome.
