Ways to Celebrate Mother's Day in South Bend & Mishawaka
Mother's Day is May 10, and though we love the mothers in our lives all year long, it's a special day to show extra appreciation!
Here are some ideas for what to do this Mother's Day around South Bend and Mishawaka.
Take Mom Out for a Meal
Give mom the day off of cooking for Mother's Day. If you're looking for brunch or dinner options, start by browsing through The Bend's best restaurants. Make sure to call ahead and check the restaurant's plans for the holiday. You can also check our listings for special events happening around town! The South Bend Cubs are offering a Mother's Day Brunch VIP package that includes a ticket in the Pepsi Stadium Club, two-hour buffet, "MOM-osas", and of course an afternoon at the ballpark!

Treat Mom to Sweets
Candy is always a sweet idea! Whether it's some chocolates or hard candy, The Bend is home to a few local places with outsized reputations in the confectionary world — South Bend Chocolate Co. and Claeys Candy. South Bend Chocolate Cafe downtown or the store and cafe at the Indiana Dinosaur Museum are great spots to grab something sweet for a gift. You can find Claeys Candy at stores and shops around the area.
Pick Up a Bouquet of Flowers
While handmade gifts and hand-picked bouquets can be heart-warming, if you really want to wow the moms in your life, reach out to a local florist to place an order for something special. Here are a few spots to try:
Shop Small
Jewelry and clothes — how can you go wrong? If you're in the market for those, shop local at our array of boutiques. Browse the collections at Satori Boutique in Granger, Ali on the Boulevard and Inspire Me! in South Bend or INRugCo Studio and Gift Shop (pictured below) in Mishawaka for some ideas.
The South Bend Farmers Market is another place for unique gifts, flowers and fresh food options.
If you're shopping for someone that's more into sports or history, check out what the South Bend Cubs Den Team Store or History Museum Boutique have in their stores.
