As fall gets closer, it's time to celebrate the last few (unofficial) days of summer. Take full advantage of the time away from work with our list of things to do for Labor Day weekend around South Bend and Mishawaka.

Notre Dame vs. Tennessee State

Football season is back in The Bend! Fresh off a season-opening win over Navy in Ireland, the Fighting Irish are back home to host Tennessee State. Festivities begin Friday on campus with Football Fridays at the Eck and go all the way up to kickoff at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Notre Dame Stadium.

Golf Around The Bend

End-of-summer weather means amazing conditions to play 18 holes (or more!) over a long holiday weekend. Our golf courses range from championship caliber to very approachable, meaning there is something great for all skill levels.

Summer Concert Series at Howard Park

Head to Howard Park from 7-8:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1 for a free concert by Motown Machine in conjunction with First Fridays.

First Fridays in Downtown South Bend

September's theme for Fridays is "Dog Days of Summer." You guessed it — downtown South Bend will be full of animal lovers Friday, Sept. 1 and their four-legged companions. It's a great night to grab a bite to eat and pet some pups.

Potawatomi Zoo

Potawatomi Zoo continues is a family favorite with hundreds of animals to visit. Feeding the giraffes is an unforgettable experience.

Explore the Outdoors

Holiday weekends are a great time to get outside. Hiking and biking trails await at places like Potato Creek State Park, St. Patrick's County Park and many others.
