South Bend Museum of Art
Since 1947, the South Bend Museum of Art has provided insight into the art, history and culture of the region and nation. An architectural delight designed by Phillip Johnson and John Burgee, the museum occupies three levels of Century Center and features one permanent gallery and four changing galleries, providing an outstanding opportunity to experience national traveling shows and intriguing thematic exhibits.

Explore Art Galleries
SBMA offers over 15 exhibitions annually, maintaining a permanent collection of more than 1,200 artworks. The permanent collection includes the Indiana Room, an intimate gallery showcasing Hoosier artists. The first six artworks in this collection were donated by Mr. and Mrs. E.M. Morris.
Educational Programs
Education and accessibility are central to SBMA. The museum serves over 950 enrollments annually in its studio art classes and provides hands-on art experiences in painting, drawing, jewelry-making, ceramics and more. The ceramics studio, the largest and most professional facility in northern Indiana, draws students from across the region.

Museum Hours, Entry and Parking
Entry to the museum is free. It is closed Mondays, Tuesdays and all major holidays. Regular hours are as follows:
- 12 p.m.. to 5 p.m. Wednesday - Sunday
- 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. First Friday of the month
SBMA is located in the Centery Center in downtown South Bend, on the St. Joseph River. Parking is available in the Century Center lot for $5 or in other nearby parking facilities. There is on-street parking available downtown.
