November is a time of transition as we go from fall to the holiday season. These are some of the things that should be on your to-do list this month.

Notre Dame Football Home Games

November brings the last opportunities to see Notre Dame at home this season. The Fighting Irish host highly ranked Clemson on Nov. 5 and Boston College on Nov. 19.  If you're looking to make a last-minute football season visit, don't forget to check out our Game Day Guide and must-do traditions.

Broadway is Back Downtown South Bend

The American Theatre Guild is bringing Broadway shows to downtown South Bend a couple times this month. "The Four Phantoms in Concert" is Nov. 5 at the Morris Performing Arts Center followed by "Come From Away" on Nov. 29-Dec. 4.

Skating Returns to Howard Park

Dipping temperatures ushers in one of the Midwest's best cold-weather activities: skating on the Howard Park ice trail, which includes a bridge and loops around a state-of-the-art playground. Skating officially opens Nov. 25 with the Winter Open. Visits will want to reserve ice time in advance all season.

Electric Vehicle Exhibit at Studebaker National Museum

Car lovers (or any history aficionado) should visit Studebaker National Museum to see "Charged: The Rise, Fall and Resurgence of EVs," an exhibit detailing the lengthy history of electric vehicles. It includes a 1901 Riker Torpedo all the way through a recent Tesla.

Late Fall Hikes Around The Bend

Sure, there's less foliage to draw our eyes as we get into late fall. But that's no reason to pack up the hiking boots. The trails winding through our area parks are still worth exploring with great hikes. Potato Creek State Park and St. Patrick's County Park are among the best to visit. If you're looking to make a leisurely walk along the St. Joseph River, head to the Mishawaka River Walk.

Win Big at Four Winds Casino

Four Winds Casino South Bend features a huge gaming floor — with slot machines and table games — and some of the area's best restaurants. You can also dine in style at Copper Rock Steakhouse, Kankakee Grille and a couple other restaurants.
