Halloween Events 

Boo Bash 

Visit the St. Joseph County 4H Fairgrounds from 6-10 p.m. Oct. 13-14 for Boo Bash. There will be a trunk-or-treat (open 6-8 p.m. both nights), haunted house, petting zoo, food vendors and several other activities for all ages.

Treats on the Trail

A free trick-or-treating event at Pinhook Park, the whole community is invited to come out to Treats on the Trail from noon-2 p.m. on Oct. 14 in their costumes and collect candy from local businesses and organizations. 

Zoo Boo 

An annual favorite, Zoo Boo is Oct. 20-22 this year and offers the opportunity to trick-or-treat through Potawatomi Zoo while it is decked out for the holiday. There are even haunted train and enchanted carousel rides. 

Halloween Haunt

Z.B. Falcons Conservation Club and the Greene Township Lions Club are teaming up for Halloween Haunt, a family friendly Halloween event from 4-11 p.m. Oct. 21

Newton Park Trunk-or-Treat

Visit Newton Park in Lakeville from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 21 for its annual trunk-or-treat event.

Cops & Goblins 

Trick-or-treating returns to Four Winds Field, home to the South Bend Cubs, starting at 5 p.m. Oct. 24. Registration is free for Cops & Goblins but required.

Spooktacular Westside Haunted Trail 

Head to Unity Gardens from 6-9 p.m. Oct. 27 for a fun night of fall activities and a costume contest. 

Table or Treat 

Mishawaka Parks is hosting Table or Treat from 5-7 p.m. Oct. 28 along the Mishawaka Riverwalk. Around 80 local businesses are expected to line the paths for trick-or-treating. There will also be music, inflatables and games.

Halloween Fall Festival 

VFW Post 360 in Mishawaka is hosting its free, kid-friendly festival from noon-2 p.m. Oct. 29. Come dressed in your best costume. There will be treats, games, pumpkin painting, goodie bags and more.

Pumpkin Patches

It doesn't feel quite like fall without a visit to the pumpkin patch. Find your perfect pumpkin at three of our favorite places: Hilltop Farms (Mishawaka), Matthys Farm Market (South Bend) and Thistleberry Farm (South Bend).

Scream Parks

To kick off your Halloween weekend, be ready to scream! There are two great (and horrifying) scream parks that will certainly have you checking under your bed for monsters and sleeping with one eye open at night.

Niles Scream Park: Considered by many as one of the top haunted attractions in the country, the Niles Scream Park rebuilds its attractions each year to provide you with completely new, unique, and terrifying shows.

Fear Itself at Legend Park: As one of the largest Scream Parks in the country, Fear Itself at Legend Park in Mishawaka features five astonishing attractions that will have jumping right out of your shoes.
