Parking Pointers

Free 2-hour parking is available on most downtown South Bend streets throughout the week. That’s a good place to start. It transitions to free for more than two hours after 5 p.m. on weekdays and all weekend, starting at 5 p.m. Friday.

Lots and Structures

If you’re in need of a lot or a garage for extended parking during the week, there are several options.

1. N. Main St. Lot

Location: Just south of Colfax, west of Main.
Rate: $4 a day.

2. Main and Colfax Structure

Location: Main and Colfax, on the east side of Main.
Rate: $10 a day. There is 2-hour free parking in this garage. It’s also free after 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and all day on weekends. Doesn’t include special events.

3. Leighton Structure

Location: Jefferson and Michigan, at the southeast corner.
Rate: $10 a day. There is 2-hour free parking. It’s free after 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and all day on weekends. Excludes special events.

4. Wayne Street Structure

Location: Wayne and Martin Luther King, on the west side of Martin Luther King.
Rate: $10 a day. There is 2-hour free parking and it’s free after 5 p.m. Monday trough Friday and all day on weekends. Excludes special events.

5. Century Center Lot

Location: Adjacent to the Century Center on Martin Luther King.
Rate: $5 a day.

6. Zion United Church of Christ lot (Howard Park)

Free parking is available to people visiting Howard Park in this lot Monday-Saturday and after 1 p.m. Sunday. Street parking is also available along St. Louis Boulevard. Street parking is back-in angle for added safety.
