Downtown South Bend Restaurant Weeks
Foodies should make their way to downtown South Bend in the beginning of the month. Restaurant Weeks runs Aug. 2-18 with over 30 locally owned restaurants participating and a cocktail contest.
Raft the East Race Waterway
There are few thrills like splashing down the whitewater rapids right in the heart of downtown South Bend. Open from early June through Labor Day, the East Race Waterway is a one-of-a-kind experience. Make sure to book your tickets in advance and get the scoop on everything you need to know before you go.
Art Beat
Downtown South Bend's largest event returns Aug. 10! Art Beat is a celebration of visual, performing and culinary arts. You can browse through vendor booths, grab some delicious food and otherwise enjoy the atmosphere as visitors from across the region descend on downtown South Bend.
Osceola Music Festival
Taking place Aug. 9-11 at Fern Hunsberger Park in Osceola, this free music festival is celebrating 40 years highlights all sorts of regional musicians. You can also expect great food and drinks at the event.
Watch South Bend Cubs Baseball
There's still time to catch some baseball at one of the best stadiums in the Minor Leagues. The Cubs have homestands at Four Winds Field on Aug. 6-11 and Aug. 20-31. You can expect fun for the whole family, delicious food and great promotions like Thirsty Thursday and Fantastic Friday Fireworks.
Michiana Renaissance Festival
It's time to grab your garb again and head back in time: The Michiana Renaissance Festival is back! After being canceled the previous two years, this year's event takes place Aug. 24-25 at the St. Joseph County Fairgrounds. There will be multiple re-enactment areas, vendors, food and affordable fun for the whole family.
